Amber Michelle Hudgens, Obituary, Fairview Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash; Driver Sought
FAIRVIEW ― A tragic hit-and-run incident on Monday evening has claimed the life of a Fairview woman, prompting an urgent search for the driver responsible. Amber Michelle Hudgens, 29, was fatally struck by a vehicle on Cane Creek Road shortly after 8:15 p.m.
According to First Sgt. Robby Baker of the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Hudgens’ car had broken down, and she was on the roadway when she was hit by a small, red car. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the red vehicle fled the scene, leaving authorities to investigate this devastating incident. The Highway Patrol was actively working on Tuesday to identify the individual responsible. As of Tuesday, no further information regarding the suspect or vehicle has been released. The community of Fairview is left mourning the loss of a young life and anxiously awaiting justice.
