Avonmouth Old Boys RFC is united in grief following the devastating loss of former player and teammate, Danny Durbin. The club extends its heartfelt condolences to the Durbin family during this incredibly difficult time.
Danny was a true product of Avonmouth Old Boys, honing his skills within our mini and junior sections before progressing to the senior ranks. He graced the pitches for our 3rd, 2nd, and ultimately, our 1st XV, showcasing his talent and dedication. Throughout his playing career, Danny was known for his exceptional politeness, his popularity, and his beloved character. He was a cherished figure, and many of our current senior players hold fond memories of their time playing alongside him.
The Durbin family has been an integral part of the Avonmouth Old Boys RFC community for over three decades, contributing in countless capacities. Danny’s father, Lee, currently serves as our esteemed Club Vice Chairman, a testament to the family’s enduring commitment to the club.
At this terribly sad time, our thoughts and prayers are with Lee, Laura, Zak, and the entire Durbin family. Danny’s absence will be deeply felt, not just on the field, but within the very heart of our club. His memory will undoubtedly live on, a cherished part of Avonmouth Old Boys RFC’s history.
